CTET Full-Form means The Central Teacher Eligibility Test which is a national level exam conducted in India by the Central Board of Secondary Education for determining the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers. CTET takes place twice a year and is for teachers who want to teach in the Primary Section.

• • The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held in July 2024, according to a notification released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates can read the notification and apply online if they are interested in the exam specifics and have met all qualifying requirements.

Points to Remember

• • All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking
  • A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II)

• • STEP1:Log on to CTET official web site https://ctet.nic.in
  • STEP2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
  • STEP3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
  • STEP4: Upload latest Scanned Photograph and Signature
  • STEP5: Pay Examination Fee by debit/credit card and net banking.
  • STEP6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference

• • There will be two papers of CTET July 2024.

      2. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

VALIDITY PERIOD OF CTET CERTIFICATE

The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all
categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
