General Information to remember::

1. 1.    It is highly discouraged that you apply to the same Vidyalaya more than once for the same child. If a child registers with more than one Kendriya Vidyalaya, only the most recent application will be taken into consideration throughout the admissions process.
   2. You are strongly advised to register your own mobile number (with Indian SIM card) and not that of any others.
   3. Information entered on the admission form of KV Admission Class I at the time of registration cannot be altered later.
   4. An application form cannot be amended once it has been submitted and an Application Submission Code has been generated.
   5. An OTP must be used to cancel an application that has been filed, and this OTP will be provided to the registered mobile number.

Age Limit of child for KV Admission Class I

The KVS admission standards state that as of April 1, 2024, the minimum age requirement for Std 1 admission is 6 years, and the maximum age limit is 8 years. However, applicants who qualify as “Differently Abled” would have a 2-year age relaxation. Therefore, for children applying to Std. 1 in 2024–2025, the range of dates of birth permissible is: 1 April 2015 to 1 April 2017 for applications that do not fall within the “Differently Abled” category. A kid applying for admission under the “Differently Abled” category may be born between April 1, 2013, and April 1, 2017.

Steps to follow in portal for admission for KV Admission Class I

1. 1. Registering on the portal to get a unique Login Code keep it Carefully.
   2. The Login Code obtained after registration must be used to login and fill the online application form.
   3. You can indicate choice of up to three (3) different Vidyalayas in India, in a single form.
   4. After filling in the application form, it must be submitted by clicking on the Submit Application button.
   5. On successful submission, you will be assigned a unique Application Submission Code, that is different from the Login Code.
   6. You will also be shown a list of original documents to be submitted to a Vidyalaya at the time of admission in case provisional admission is offered by the Vidyalaya.
   7. Please note down your Application Submission Code and the list of documents to be submitted at the time of admission carefully.
   8. A store Application button has been included in the application form so that you can store data that may be only half completed and return to the form later.
   9. Scans/images of only two documents, birth certificate and photo of the child seeking admission, must be mandatorily uploaded before submitting the online application form.
   10. The online form has fields that need to be filled out, all of which are indicated with a red *. You cannot move via the portal until all required fields have been completed.
   11. For admission application in Single Girl Child category, please submit the online application form and upload required documents like any other admission application. There is no need to contact the Principal of the Vidyalaya (to which the child is seeking admission) directly in this case.

Parent’s details to fill KV Admission Class I form

Entering the title, full name, nationality, country, state, and city of residence for at least one parent is required.Without this information, the application form cannot be submitted. Details of the matching parent must be entered if admission to a Vidyalaya under that parent’s service category is desired. When applying for admission to one Vidyalaya under one parent’s service category and another Vidyalaya under another parent’s service category, the information for both parents needs to be completed..

Kendriya Vidyalayas under Civil/Defence SECTOR (Category Details) for KV Admission Class I

• • Category I : Children of transferable and non-transferable central government employees and children of ex-servicemen. This will also include children of foreign national officials, who come on deputation or transfer to India on invitation by the Government of India.
  • Category II : Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of autonomous bodies/public sector undertaking/institute of higher learning of the Government of India.
  • Category III : Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.
  • Category IV : Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of autonomous bodies/ public sector undertakings/institute of higher learning of the State Governments.
  • Category V : Children from any other category including children of foreign nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons. Children of foreign nationals would be considered only in case there are no Indian nationals waitlisted for admission.
